As an experiment, Robin Labs, startup company based in Palo Alto, has launched Less.Mail, a virtual assistant for Android devices that allow users to manage their emails via voice. This makes use of artificial intelligence technology that the same company is developing for Robin.AI application, which becomes a virtual assistant similar to Apple's Siri or Google Now. From the same company say, according to TC , that if the launch is successful, they may consider launching into other platforms such as iOS.
Robin Labs understands that 80% of email use is routine, in which users simply write short answers, accept and reject invitations, or quotations are taken to their calendars, serving this vision as a basis for the application itself, where users only need to establish a series of voice commands to the emails you have on your trays.Among other things, Less.Mail, users have the possibility of automatic short answer or make further replies. They can also confirm appointments calendar.
In this regard, there are a number of outstanding questions, which is really know if this solution will save users time, if they come to adopt, if you also use it takes away the personal touch to the messages, or if it is a solution that could be well used for users with certain disabilities.
For now, to be able to use Less.Mail invitation is needed, which can be requested including your own email address on your website .
