Twitter buys content Twitpic

Shortly before the old Twitpic photo service, allowing up and find photos on Twitter, closed its doors permanently, Twitter has emerged to save the contents.
Thanks to a last minute agreement, the millions of pictures that can be kept Twitpic still available on the Internet, since Twitter will be responsible for them, preventing their disappearance.
Importantly Twitpic Twitter does not save as a service (no sense, because you can upload photos from Twitter itself, does not need technology Twitpic for nothing), but saves what users have been saving for years .
From the Blog twitpic explain that it will not possible to upload new pictures, and that the data is read-only mode. It will not be possible to download the mobile apps and can log to delete photos or even the entire bill.
No details have commented on the price of the agreement, but all suspicions that Twitter, the trademark owner twit * tweet * or other derivatives, has pressured enough that this is the end result.
