Chrome OS unlocks laptops and approaching our mobile Android

The developer event Google I / O 2014 is mentioned, among the many features that would bring Android Lollipop up to that time only Android L-, the ability to unlock devices only closer to each other. Thus it would be possible to unlock the phone through a smart watch with Android Wear, or, to use mobile to bring it closer to a laptop or another Chromebook with Chrome OS, the latter succeeded in being unlocked immediately.

Well, the name of the feature, Easy Unlock , was confirmed a few days ago with the launch of Google Play Services 6.1 , but only now have shared data and screen looks like. Dan Campbell has been one of the first to try the novelty and publish on Google+ experience, in particular, quite faithful to the data previously filtered by various specialized media: The process is as simple as unlocking the mobile Android and immediately see a window notification, both the mobile and the Chromebook / laptop on the imminent connection by proximity and possible release of the portable.

And how does it work? Several requirements have been met so that he could run the experiment, although it noted that it is likely that the boundaries tend to diminish with time: A mobile with the trial version of Android 5.0 Lollipop, connected to a Chromebook Dev Channel Update and finally Bluetooth 4.0 / Low Energy (BLE). Finally, the magic would be in the latter and permitted special connections between devices with the software Chrome. As for the visuals, a window jump at the Chromebook, provided it is unlocked mobile-otherwise it would not work because access to any intruder would be provided for by clicking the session is active.
