Sony unveils PlayStation Vue, your television service in the cloud

In the last hours, Sony has given a lot of details about the launch of the new TV system in the cloud of the Japanese company . The name of this service is PlayStation Vue, and the beta will be released in the coming weeks in New York.
The aim of PlayStation Vue is providing access to a wide variety of different TV channels without the need to sign any contract to access the content (as is often necessary in pay television). One of the most interesting pillars of PlayStation Vue is that the content will be accessible from a lot of different devices, not limited to those marketed by Sony, a movement with which Sony hopes to replace traditional pay TV.Throughout this month of November you can access the service in beta, but only via invitation, only in New York , plus it will only be accessible from PlayStation 3 and 4. Then, once you have verified the operation of the service, the beta phase will extend the iPad and a lot of different devices, both Sony and the other manufacturers. PlayStation Vue providing access, for the moment, 75 different TV channels such as CBS, Fox and NBCUniversal . Being a television service in the cloud, users can save content to your device for viewing later, can play during the next 28 days. At the moment, PlayStation Vue prices were not disclosed, but Sony has stressed that any contract or installing additional hardware is not necessary, plus we can give unsubscribe at any time.
With a move like this, Sony could give a somewhat broader approach your gaming console , so it was seen as a focused entertainment in general and not only the game, which could increase sales of their consoles device. Although, for now, the service is available only in the United States, it would not be surprising that give results extend to other regions. PlayStation Vue will be released officially to the public during the first quarter of 2015.
